Worth knowing
Trader Motor Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
From the Trader 38 Sprint through the 42 and the 64 Sunliner to the 70/75 Superyacht the recorded programme extends, with years of construction from 2009 to 2019. Value and engine power differ considerably across this span, and both determine the premium together with the cruising range.
If the sum insured is above 2.5 million euros, individual assessment takes the place of the online policy. Below that it works online, with third-party liability as the basis and a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros depending on the tariff level.
Anyone who is already insured does not have to cancel themselves: NAMMERT takes that over free of charge. After that the new contract applies, with an agreed value in full hull cover, with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), and with cover in winter storage, during craning and on the transport route.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Does NAMMERT take over the cancellation with the previous provider?
Yes, the switching service cancels the previous policy free of charge. You then choose the tariff level, and depending on the level third-party liability covers 10 to 50 million euros.
Does cover also apply outside the season?
Yes. In winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route there is cover. The hull cover knows no time window and no night clause.

Series by Trader Motor Yachts, build years and cover
Trader 38 Sprint is a motor yacht from Trader Motor Yachts, built from 2009 to 2019.
Trader 42 is a motor yacht from Trader Motor Yachts, built from 2009 to 2019.
Trader 64 Sunliner is a motor yacht from Trader Motor Yachts, built from 2009 to 2019.
Trader 70/75 Superyacht is a motor yacht from Trader Motor Yachts, built from 2009 to 2019.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
