It is taken out together with the boat insurance and supplements third-party liability, full hull cover and limited hull cover. Third-party liability is available with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
In full hull cover indemnity is paid at the agreed value, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). For sailing boats the sail area rather than the engine output feeds into the premium, along with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. A boat trailer is included at no extra premium.

Are club races covered?
