Worth knowing
Agronaut; cover, cost and conditions
The Classic 37 came off the line between 1988 and 1998 and is available today only second hand. When buying such a motor yacht, what counts for cover is not the purchase price but the value you would have to raise again in the event of a claim. For this NAMMERT agrees an agreed value that applies in a total loss without any recalculation.
A model from a production period of around ten years often changes owner several times. We insure regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, so a long chain of former owners is no obstacle to the contract. Full hull cover indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation, and in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. On top of that you add limited hull cover or full hull cover, depending on how much risk you want to carry yourself. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, and above that we examine the individual case.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How do I cover an Agronaut Classic 37 after buying it second hand?
You report the type of boat, value, year of construction and engine power, we agree an agreed value and provide third-party liability and hull insurance from the date you want. The previous owner's old contract plays no part in this.
Does it matter that production of this range was a long time ago?
No, we insure regardless of the year of construction. The premium depends on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand or the age of the model range.

Series by Agronaut, build years and cover
Classic 37 is a motor yacht from Agronaut, built from 1988 to 1998.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
