At NAMMERT the premium for a motorboat is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range, never on the brand. For the Airboat Powerraft, which has been built since 2018 to this day, what counts is therefore the registered output and not the name on the hull. In this way the rating remains easy to follow.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis of every contract and can be chosen in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium tiers. Anyone who also wants to protect their boat against collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard adds full hull cover with an agreed value.
A single model in the programme does not mean that acceptance is any more difficult. Small production runs and home builds can be insured with us, regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online; above that we examine each case individually and prepare a quotation.

Frequent questions
How does engine output affect the premium?
Engine output, boat value, year of construction, type of boat and cruising range determine the premium. The brand plays no part, so an Airboat Powerraft is rated by the same characteristics as any other motorboat.
Is the boat trailer covered as well?
Yes, boat trailers are included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning and launching and throughout the whole journey in transit.

Registration

Airboat Powerraft is a motorboat from Airboat West, built since 2018.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
