With a sailing yacht it is the sail area that determines the premium and not the engine output. Exactly one model range is on record here, the AR-25 Voyager, built from 2006 to 2012. Alongside the sail area, the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range go into the calculation, while the brand itself is of no significance for it.
A production period of six years means that every AR-25 Voyager changes hands on the used market today. NAMMERT insures irrespective of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and agrees an agreed value. Full hull cover then indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Anyone racing in a club will find club races included from Basis-Plus onwards; races with ranking status are stated when you take out the policy. Third-party liability stands behind it with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, and the policy is taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros.

With the AR-25 Voyager, does the sail area or the engine count?
With sailing yachts the sail area goes into the premium. Added to it are the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range. The brand stays out of it, because NAMMERT calculates according to the features of the individual boat.
Are club races contained in the cover?
From the Basis-Plus tariff onwards club races are included. Races with ranking status are stated when you take out the policy. Hull cover knows no time window and no night clause here.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
