If the outboard is missing after a night at the jetty, full hull cover applies: theft of parts including the outboard is covered, as are collision, grounding and vandalism. For the Balt 37 Grand, a motor yacht with build years from 2019 to 2024, this applies just as it does for any other boat.
The basis is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, selectable in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Limited hull cover carries fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage.
A programme consisting of a single model range says nothing about insurability: the premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range, never on the brand. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros cover is taken out online, above that an individual assessment follows.
