Worth knowing
Bayards; cover, cost and conditions
At the beginning of every boat insurance stands the third-party liability cover, because it bears damage to other people's property and injury to persons. We know of a single model range from Bayards: the Tulip 36.5, a sailing yacht built between 1985 and 2001. For it the third-party liability cover with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is available.
Beyond that the cover can be extended step by step. The limited hull cover takes on fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage, the full hull cover additionally collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.
As production ended in 2001, a Tulip 36.5 comes aboard today only second hand. The year of build, the place of purchase and previous owners change nothing about acceptance. For the purchase itself we also offer legal expenses cover for water sports, which responds in a dispute after buying a used boat.

Series by Bayards, build years and cover
Tulip 36.5 is a sailing yacht from Bayards, built from 1985 to 2001.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
