From the programme a single model range has come down to us, the Lacustre 255, built between 1997 and 2003. On sailing boats the sail area takes the place of engine output; together with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range it enters into the premium. The manufacturer is of no significance for the rating.
Production lies in the past, and every unit insured today is a second-hand boat. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the agreed value fixes the value as early as when the policy is taken out. Settlement is made with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Anyone who takes part in races with the boat is covered for club races from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards. Races with official scoring status are declared when you take out the policy, so that they are taken into account in the contract. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis at every level.
