Worth knowing
Bond Yachts Sp.zo.o.; cover, cost and conditions
Three multihull ranges are recorded for Bond Yachts Sp.zo.o.: the cabin trimaran TNT 34 with a production period from 2009 to 2015 as well as the cabin catamarans MC 30 from 2000 to 2009 and MC 29 from 2004 to 2010. For boats from completed series we set an agreed value for the full hull cover before the policy begins.
This value is stated in the policy and, in the event of a claim, is compensated with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit for the boat. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online; above that we assess the individual case.
A boat with two or three hulls needs space ashore. The cover applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while in transit, and the hull insurance knows no time window and no night-time clause. Third-party liability forms the basis with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How long were the TNT 34, MC 29 and MC 30 ranges built?
The TNT 34 ran from 2009 to 2015, the MC 29 from 2004 to 2010 and the MC 30 from 2000 to 2009. All three are used boats today, and compensation is based on the agreed value that has been set.
Is a multihull protected in winter storage?
Yes. The cover applies in winter storage, during craning and during launching. There the limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, the theft of the whole boat and damage during storage.

Series by Bond Yachts Sp.zo.o., build years and cover
TNT 34 is a cabin trimaran from Bond Yachts Sp.zo.o., built from 2009 to 2015.
MC 29 is a cabin catamaran from Bond Yachts Sp.zo.o., built from 2004 to 2010.
MC 30 is a cabin catamaran from Bond Yachts Sp.zo.o., built from 2000 to 2009.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a trimaran the floats and their beams are the weak point, on folding models the mechanism as well.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
