Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online. If the value is above that, an individual assessment follows, which likewise ends in a policy with an agreed value.
Is a single model range an obstacle?
No. Small production runs and home-built boats can be insured, and the premium is based on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the sail area and the cruising range, never on the make.
