With sailing boats the sail area takes the place of engine power when the premium is calculated. Four ranges are recorded: the Lune Longboat from the years 1981 to 1988 as well as Coastal 17, Postboat and Coastal Weekender from the period between 2010 and 2017.
More than two decades lie between the end of the first range and the beginning of the later ones, and the years of construction are correspondingly far apart. For full hull cover an agreed value is arranged which in the event of a claim applies with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
An open sailing boat often stands on the trailer and goes into the water down the slipway. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, and cover applies during launching, during craning, on the transport route and in winter storage. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards.
