Dekabo is listed with 16 models between 6.8 and 12.3 m. Eleven of them are sailing yachts, four are sailing boats and one is a motorboat. The type names follow two main series: Piewiet in sizes 700 to 1200 and Kievit in sizes 700 to 930. Production ran from 1965 to 1997.
Every Dekabo is an older build, which makes an agreed value the better basis than a pure market value clause: the figure is set in advance and is not eroded after a loss. Since a Kievit 700 and a Piewiet 1200 are a good five metres apart, length, value and cruising area need to be stated precisely. For the smaller, trailerable boats third party liability is the base, and transport on the trailer can be included.
