Doering is represented by 18 small boats between 1.9 and 4.7 m in length, mostly sailing boats. The Aquarius series covers sizes 190, 225, 250 and 285, joined by the Goldbutt, Kogge I and Kogge II and the Küchensee motorboat. Older models such as Clipper, Orkan, Corvette and Doering 16 measure around 4.7 m. Production runs from 1972 to the present.
Boats under five metres are trailerable and are often transported and stored privately. Third party liability is the foundation for them, because an owner is liable for damage to other boats and to pontoons regardless of how small his own boat is. Trailer transport and storage ashore can be included. For the older build years from 1972 an agreed value works better than a market value clause.

Does a Doering Aquarius 225 need insurance at all?
It is usually not compulsory but it is sensible. Third party liability covers damage to other boats and to pontoons, and the owner is liable for that no matter how small his boat is.
Is winter storage included?
Storage ashore and transport on the trailer can be built into the cover. With boats of this size that is the normal case, because they spend the off season on land.
