The length span is narrow, so equipment and area of use matter more than size. An Offshore version run along the coast needs a different cruising area than a yacht that stays on rivers and in sheltered waters, and both belong in the application. For the older build years from 1987 an agreed value makes sense, because actual cash value does not reflect the real condition of a well kept boat.

Is the electrically driven 29 insured differently?
The drive is recorded in the application. On a Haines 29 Electric the batteries and charging equipment belong in the declared value, because they make up a distinct part of the boat.
Does inland use count as a smaller risk?
The cruising area has an effect. For versions such as the Haines 365 River/Estuary a narrower area can be agreed than for the Offshore versions.
