When buying an Athena 30 from the years 1967 to 1975, the question of value arises first. We record this as an agreed value in the contract, so that nothing has to be renegotiated in the event of a claim. Full hull cover settles on this basis with no deduction for depreciation.
We have no more than this one sailing yacht range on record. For the premium that is of no consequence: calculation is by type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, never by the brand. Club races are included from Basis-Plus onwards, and you report races with ranking status when the policy is taken out.
If a dispute arises after a used boat purchase, the legal expenses cover for water sports, which we offer alongside, also applies to disputes with a yard. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis of the contract.

What does agreed value mean when buying used?
The value is settled when the contract is concluded and applies in the event of a claim. Settlement is made with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tier with no age limit, regardless of the number of previous owners.
Does the contract also cover a legal dispute about the purchase?
The legal expenses cover for water sports is offered alongside and applies to a dispute after a used boat purchase or with a yard. It supplements third-party liability and hull insurance.
