State the manufacturer, the payload and the chassis number; that costs nothing and closes a gap that runs into four figures in the event of a claim.
On the road the trailer remains a vehicle with its own obligations: registration, roadworthiness test, tyre age. The motor third-party liability of the towing vehicle covers the trailer in road traffic; our boat policy covers the trailer as an asset and the transport of the boat. These are two separate covers, and both are needed. Check the age of the tyres, because on trailers that mostly stand still, tyres age faster than they wear down.
