Inter Trading; cover, cost and conditions
Whether you cruise inland waters or along the coast: the cruising range is a premium factor in its own right. The Inter model ranges have been built since 1990, models such as the Inter 6800 Nor-Line or the Inter 9300 to this day. When taking out the policy, state the waters in which your boat is actually under way, because the premium depends on this as well.
An Inter 6800 is already insured in our own portfolio. If you travel abroad with your boat, you receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. This lets you prove your cover in a foreign harbour without additional paperwork.
In total the catalogue holds 18 model ranges: variants such as Fisherman and Hot Dog were built until 2021, motor yachts such as the Inter 9000 and Inter 9300 are produced to this day. For all of them full hull cover applies with an agreed value and indemnity with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.

I also travel abroad with my Inter. Do I need additional proof?
The international certificate of insurance is included automatically in ten languages. Make sure that the cruising range chosen in the policy matches the waters you use, because it is a premium factor.
My Inter 6900 Fisherman has no longer been built since 2021. Does that change the cover?
No. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Under the full hull cover the agreed value applies, indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
