J/Boats J/9: cover, cost and conditions
The J/Boats J/9 measures 8.54 metres in length and 2.63 metres in beam and belongs to the J/70 and J/80 model range, which is listed from 1993 to the present day. Seven further models of the brand are recorded with us, and the J/9 is not yet insured in our portfolio.
With a sailing boat, the sail area takes the place of engine power when the premium is calculated. Added to that are the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range. Club regattas are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and please state races with official scoring status when you take out the policy.
The full hull cover pays compensation based on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation and includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. Rig, sails and electronics should appear in the schedule so that the agreed value reflects the actual extent of the equipment.
