Two model ranges are on record, the sailing yacht J 11S from the years 2012 to 2019 and the sailing boat J 22 from the years 1997 to 2008. Both ranges are completed. For sailing boats the question of races regularly stands at the beginning of the conversation at NAMMERT.
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff onwards. Races with scoring status you state when taking out the policy, so that they are expressly written into the contract. The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range.
Even though both ranges have run out, the cover remains the same, because we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The full hull cover works with an agreed value and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.

Are races with a J 22 insured?
Club races are included from Basis-Plus onwards. Races with scoring status you state when taking out the policy, and they are then taken into account in the contract.
How are two discontinued model ranges treated?
Like any other boat. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners play no role for acceptance, and the agreed value fixes the indemnity amount at the start of the contract.

Series by J Composite, build years and cover
J - 11S is a sailing yacht from J Composite, built from 2012 to 2019.
J - 22 is a sailing boat from J Composite, built from 1997 to 2008.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
