An open motorboat like the JANS 600 Open, built from 2013 to 2020, changes frequently between water and trailer. Precisely these journeys are covered: the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, and cover applies during launching, during craning and while in transit.
In winter storage cover applies as well; damage there is already contained in limited hull cover. Full hull cover pays for collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, calculated at the agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation.
Production ended in 2020, so used units are to be found on the market. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners are no obstacle for us; in the Premium tier full hull cover applies with no age limit. The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

Is the trailer really included without a surcharge?
Yes, boat trailers are included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. You do not need a separate contract for this and pay no additional premium.
How is damage during launching handled?
Launching, craning and transport are part of the scope of cover. A hull claim arising there is settled on the basis of the agreed value, with no deduction for depreciation.
