Laser (ILCA) ILCA 7: cover, cost and conditions

At 4.23 metres long and 1.37 metres wide, the ILCA 7 is a dinghy with clear dimensions. It is not yet sailing in our portfolio, but it is insurable nonetheless, and three further models of this brand are recorded with us.

Dinghies are sailed and scored. Club regattas are included from the Basis-Plus tariff level onwards. Please state races with scoring status when taking out the policy so that the contract reflects actual use and nothing is left open in the event of a claim.

Instead of engine output, the sail area counts in the premium calculation, together with value, year of construction and cruising range. Pure inland use is assessed differently from coastal sailing. The boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value, which is relevant to everyday life with a trailerable dinghy. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
