MARINA SPORT; cover, cost and conditions
Three model ranges are recorded: the motor yachts Marina 32 Yacht and Marina 37 Yacht from the years 2003 to 2016 as well as the sailing yacht Marina 36 Sport from 2018 to 2022. For all three the value is agreed as an agreed value, which applies in the event of a claim.
Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without any age limit. The full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, the limited hull cover fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the whole boat and damage in winter storage.
On the motor yachts the engine output enters into the premium, on the sailing yacht the sail area. Type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range are added, the brand is not. The third-party liability remains the basis with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

Frequent questions
Why is an agreed value settled at all?
Because it establishes before the loss which value applies. Compensation is paid on this basis with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without any age limit.
Can an older Marina 37 still be taken on?
Yes, we provide insurance regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online, and above that an individual review follows.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
