Four model ranges are recorded: the Lago Amore 478, 633 and 733 motor boats as well as the Shearwater 8.60 CC inflatable boat with engine, with years of construction between 2013 and today. Boats of this kind often carry an outboard. Theft of parts including the outboard is covered by full hull cover.
Added to this are collision, grounding and vandalism. If the entire boat is stolen, limited hull cover already applies, as it does for fire, storm, lightning strike and damage in winter storage.
For the value we agree an agreed value and pay compensation with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. Third-party liability covers 10 to 50 million euros depending on the level.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
