For sailing boats the sail area takes the place of engine output. Four model ranges are documented: the International 806 from 1974 to 2018, the H-Boot from 1983 to 2012, the International 1006 from 1974 to 1995 and the International 606 from 1982 to 1994.
Anyone who sails club races with them is covered from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards. Races with official scoring status are declared when you take out the policy. The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Which level is appropriate depends on use and sailing area.
The construction periods span four decades, and production has been completed. Insurance is provided regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners; the value is recorded in the policy as an agreed value and is replaced with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
