Small programmes are no reason for exclusion: small series and self-builds are insurable with us. Three motor boat ranges are documented, the 550 Elektro as well as the eVario 530 and the eVario 660, with years of construction from 2009 to the present day. For acceptance only the data of the boat count.
All three ranges continue to the present day, the oldest since 2009. For new as well as for used units we agree an agreed value, which in the event of a claim is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. In this way the compensation sum is already fixed when the policy is taken out.
The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand. A boat trailer runs along free of charge, and the cover applies during launching, during craning, on the transport route and in winter storage. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.

Frequent questions
What applies to self-builds and small series?
Both are insurable. For the rating, type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range count. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not stand in the way of acceptance.
Does the cover also continue ashore?
Yes. Winter storage, craning, launching and the transport route are included. There limited hull cover covers, among other things, fire, storm, lightning strike and the theft of the whole boat.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
Waters

Equipment
Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.
Cruising range

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
