Worth knowing
PMC Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Two cabin catamarans are recorded for PMC Yachts, the Houseboat Power Catamaran from 2011 to 2017 and the Fisher Workboat Power Catamaran from 2013 to 2017. With both, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros comes first.
It covers damage that you cause to others, for example to other boats or to harbour installations. Limited hull cover and full hull cover, which concern your own boat, build on this. Which limit of indemnity applies depends on the tariff level Basis, Basis-Plus or Premium.
Since 2017 neither model range has been built any more. For full hull cover the agreed value remains the benchmark, replacement is made with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and in the Premium tariff without an age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are included.
Questions and answers

What does third-party liability cover with a catamaran?
Damage that you cause to third parties, for example to other boats or harbour installations. Depending on the tariff level, the limit of indemnity lies between 10 and 50 million euros.
What is the difference between limited hull cover and full hull cover?
Limited hull cover bears fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.

Series by PMC Yachts, build years and cover
Fisher Workboat Power Catamaran is a cabin catamaran from PMC Yachts, built from 2013 to 2017.
Houseboat Power Catamaran is a cabin catamaran from PMC Yachts, built from 2011 to 2017.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
