The Boström 37 ran from 1974 to 1988, the Boström 372 from 1981 to 1988; further ranges are not available to us. Yachts from these years are today bought exclusively second-hand, mostly privately. The legal expenses cover for water sports can be included and applies in a dispute after buying a second-hand boat.
It also covers disagreements with a yard, for instance after work on the hull or the rig. For the yacht itself we agree an agreed value and pay compensation with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. That settles what will be discussed in the event of a claim.
Further details about the yard are not available to us, which is of no importance for the contract. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the premium depends on the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. The previous contract we cancel free of charge on request.
