Worth knowing
Powercraft s.r.l.; cover, cost and conditions
The only range recorded is the Glidepath 22 L motor boat, built from 2004 to 2017. No details of the size, orientation or breadth of the boatyard's programme are available. The individual boat is therefore insured according to its own data, and this regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
Since production has been completed, a Glidepath 22 L reaches its owner second-hand today. In full hull cover an agreed value is set when the policy is taken out, on the basis of which compensation is paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). In the Premium tariff it applies with no age limit.
Limited hull cover comprises fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. The third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
What is the difference between limited hull cover and full hull cover?
Limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. In full hull cover, collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are added.
Can a boat with a year of construction of 2004 still be insured?
Yes. The year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners play no part in insurability. Full hull cover works with a firmly agreed value, and in the Premium tariff it applies with no age limit.

Series by Powercraft s.r.l., build years and cover
Glidepath 22 L is a motorboat from Powercraft s.r.l., built from 2004 to 2017.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
