Worth knowing
Rawell; cover, cost and conditions
No model ranges are held on file for Rawell in our records. That means nothing can be said about types of boat or build periods, and we do not add anything here that is not documented. For the insurance this changes nothing, because what is decisive is always the individual boat.
Small series and home-built boats can also be insured at NAMMERT. We also insure regardless of build year, place of purchase and previous owners. The premium depends on the type of boat, value, build year, engine power or sail area and cruising range, never on the brand.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, and limited hull cover and full hull cover are added to it. The latter works with an agreed value and pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros cover can be taken out online.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Can a home-built boat be insured?
Small series and home-built boats can be insured. We need details of the type of boat, value, build year, propulsion and cruising range in order to set up the policy.
What applies when nothing is known about the shipyard?
That does not stand in the way of a policy. The premium depends on the features of the boat and never on the brand under which it was built.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
