Rayglass Boats; cover, cost and conditions
Rayglass Boats appears in our records with 29 models: sports boats and motor yachts of the Legend line plus RIBs of the Protector line in Chase and Targa variants. Boats have been built since 2004, with lengths from 6.1 to 12.8 m.
For the Protector RIBs, engine and equipment belong in the insured sum, and the cruising area in the application. Smaller Legend around 6 to 7 m are trailerable, in which case liability cover forms the base and transport is included in the hull cover.
NAMMERT insures Rayglass regardless of year of build and place of purchase. You can calculate the premium in the online calculator in 5 minutes.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
