Worth knowing
Ressac; cover, cost and conditions
The Profil 102 is the only range recorded, a cabin catamaran with a build period from 1986 to 1993. No further model ranges are available. A narrow programme is no obstacle to insurance cover, because small series and home-built boats are insurable with us.
What is decisive are type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, not the number of models built. For the full hull cover we agree an agreed value, settlement is made with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium rate with no age limit on the boat.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis of every policy. The cover applies in winter storage, during craning and launching as well as while in transit. There is no time window and no night clause in the hull cover.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Can boats from very small series be covered?
Yes. Small series and home-built boats are insurable. For the rating, type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range count, not the number built.
How is a cabin catamaran from 1986 valued?
By means of an agreed value that is agreed when the policy is taken out. It applies in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium rate irrespective of age.

Series by Ressac, build years and cover
Profil 102 is a cabin catamaran from Ressac, built from 1986 to 1993.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
