All four recorded model ranges are called Aphrodite: the 34 from 1975, the 291 from 1978, the 29 from 1979 and the 40 from 1980. The last one ends in 1992. Anyone buying one of these sailing yachts today buys second hand, and the contract must reflect the replacement value properly.
What matters is not the purchase price but the amount for an equivalent vessel. It is set as an agreed value and recorded in the contract. The full hull cover then pays with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
If a dispute with the seller or the yard arises after the purchase, the legal expenses cover for water sports that we offer alongside applies. If an old policy is still running, NAMMERT cancels it free of charge in the switching service. The new cover begins without a gap with the newly agreed value.

What value should the agreed value be based on?
On the amount with which an equivalent vessel including permanently installed equipment can be replaced. This value is agreed and recorded before the contract begins.
Does it matter where the boat was bought?
No. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For the premium the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the sail area or engine output and the cruising range count.
