New builds and restorations of metre classes between 9 and 24 metres are part of the programme at Robbe & Berking Classics: 12mR new builds and refits since 2008, the restoration of 6mR and 8mR since 2005, both continuing today. Individual builds of this kind are insurable with NAMMERT.
The yard in Flensburg builds new 12mR yachts. For a boat from this production there is no series value, which is why an agreed value is set; in the event of a claim compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision and grounding are covered.
Metre classes take part in races. Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff level upwards, and races with scoring status are stated when you take out the policy. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online; above that NAMMERT reviews the individual case.

How is a restored yacht valued?
Through the agreed value that is set in the contract. Small series and individual builds are insurable, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Are races with a metre class included?
Club races are part of the cover from Basis-Plus upwards. You report races with scoring status when taking out the policy so that they are stated in the contract.
