A purchase price from a negotiation says little about what an equivalent vessel would cost later. For the insurance, therefore, what counts is not the price but the agreed value, which is fixed when the policy is taken out and compensated with no deduction for depreciation.
Rolgard is recorded with two cabin catamarans, the New Look 305 and the Rovingmad 480, both from the years of construction 1986 to 1993. No further model ranges are available to us. Production lies in the past, an acquisition today is second hand, and that does not stand in the way of taking the boat on: we insure regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
After such a purchase the legal expenses cover for water sports can be included, which applies in a dispute about defects or with a yard. Full hull cover additionally covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
