Worth knowing
Rothe; cover, cost and conditions
Three sailing yachts are recorded, the 8,5er and the 8,5er Trailer as well as the Ampuriabrava 11,5er, built between 1979 and 1987. The model name of the Trailer already points to transport ashore. With us the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance free of charge; a separate contract is not needed.
During launching and craning, while in transport and in winter storage, cover continues to apply. For sailing yachts of this size the premium results from type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range.
All three build periods ended in the eighties, so the yachts are old. They remain insurable: we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners and pay the agreed value in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.

For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
