Worth knowing
S & J Manufacturing (USA); cover, cost and conditions
One range is recorded, the Maxxim 2165 AFT Cabin motor boat with years of construction from 1997 to 2005. Anyone who already has such a boat insured and wants to change policies does not have to write the cancellation themselves, because NAMMERT cancels the old contract free of charge.
After the switch, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, optionally in the Basis, Basis-Plus or Premium levels. Limited hull cover and full hull cover can be built on top of it, the latter with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
The fact that production of this range lies in the past does not stand in the way. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and the premium follows the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, not the name of the manufacturer.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Who cancels the previous boat insurance?
The NAMMERT switching service takes care of that, free of charge. You apply for the new contract and we take care of ending the old one so that cover remains seamless.
Can a boat built in the USA be insured?
Yes. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. What counts for the rating is the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and the agreed cruising range.

Series by S & J Manufacturing (USA), build years and cover
Maxxim 2165 AFT Cabin is a motorboat from S & J Manufacturing (USA), built from 1997 to 2005.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
