Four Seastream model ranges are recorded, the Seastream 445 and 465 as well as the 520 and 650, built between 1998 and 2006. For sailing yachts of these years, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis on which limited hull cover and full hull cover are built, depending on the tier.
Production ended in 2006, the yachts are still under way. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners and record the value as an agreed value in the contract. Settlement is made with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tier with no age limit on full hull cover.
Instead of the engine output, with sailing yachts the sail area goes into the premium, along with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. Club races are included from Basis-Plus onwards, and you declare races with ranking status when the policy is taken out. The international certificate of insurance is automatically enclosed in ten languages.

How is third-party liability structured for a sailing yacht?

Can yachts from 1998 still be insured with full hull cover?
Yes. The value stands in the contract as an agreed value and is replaced with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tier there is no age limit, and collision and grounding are covered.
