Worth knowing
Sole Power Boats; cover, cost and conditions
The SP 35 has been built since 2022 and continues to the present day, and it is the only model range on record, a motor yacht. No further models are available. With a current model the question is usually how quickly cover is in place, and up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy with NAMMERT online.
If the value is above that, we assess the individual case. If you bring an existing policy with you, NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge through the switching service. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros comes first, in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium.
For a new boat the agreed value is just as important as for an old one: full hull cover compensates on that basis with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Permanently installed electronics belong in the schedule.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How quickly is cover in place for a new boat?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online. Through the switching service NAMMERT cancels an existing previous policy free of charge, so that no gap arises.
Why is the agreed value important for new boats as well?
Because it fixes the compensation amount in advance. Full hull cover then pays on that basis with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without any age limit for the boat.

Series by Sole Power Boats, build years and cover
SP 35 is a motor yacht from Sole Power Boats, built since 2022.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
