Small sailing boats move back and forth between the club grounds, the trailer and the water. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, and cover applies during launching, during craning and in transit. For the Splash and the Flash this is the usual routine.
The Splash was built from 1994 to 2015, the Flash from 2009 to 2015. Two ranges spanning two decades mean boats of differing ages. In each case the value is agreed as an agreed value and indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tariff the age limit is dropped as well.
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus level upwards; races with scoring status are declared when the policy is taken out. For the premium, with sailing boats the sail area counts instead of the engine power, plus the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range.
