Worth knowing
SPX RIB; cover, cost and conditions
Two model ranges are recorded for SPX RIB, both as an inflatable boat with an engine: the SPX RIB 24 with years of construction from 2020 to 2024 and the SPX RIB 38 from 2021 to 2025. No details of length or segment are available. Cover follows the data of the individual boat, not the name of the brand.
For an inflatable boat with an engine, the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output and the cruising range determine the premium. The sum insured is set as an agreed value, payment is made with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis. Cover also applies in winter storage and during craning, launching and transport. Tell us where the boat is stored so it is named in the contract.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Which type of boat is recorded for the SPX RIB 24?
Both recorded ranges are listed as an inflatable boat with an engine. From this, the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output and the cruising range count for the policy, while the brand is left out of the rating.
Is the outboard protected against theft?
Theft of parts including the outboard belongs to full hull cover, and theft of the entire boat already belongs to limited hull cover.

Series by SPX RIB, build years and cover
SPX RIB 38 is an inflatable with engine from SPX RIB, built from 2021 to 2025.
SPX RIB 24 is an inflatable with engine from SPX RIB, built from 2020 to 2024.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
