Worth knowing
Stavo; cover, cost and conditions
Two motor yacht ranges are available, the Stavo 750 and the Stavokruiser 900, built between 1975 and 1988. Further details about the programme are missing. These yachts are used boats today, which we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
Over the winter such a yacht stands ashore, and part of the damage arises there. Limited hull cover bears damage in winter storage, plus fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat. During craning, during launching and on the transport route the cover applies as well.
Under full hull cover, collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are added, settled on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation. There is no time window and no night clause in the hull cover, not even at an unguarded berth.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is damage ashore covered?
Yes. Limited hull cover bears damage in winter storage, and the cover applies during craning, during launching and on the transport route between the storage site and the berth.
How is a Stavo 750 compensated in the event of a claim?
On the agreed value that was set, with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tariff full hull cover runs with no age limit, which counts with years of construction from the 1980s.

Series by Stavo, build years and cover
Stavo 750 is a motor yacht from Stavo, built from 1981 to 1988.
Stavokruiser 900 is a motor yacht from Stavo, built from 1975 to 1982.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
