With a sailing yacht the sail area replaces the engine power in the premium calculation. The three recorded ranges Triplast Y-37, Triplast Y 40 and Y999 ran until 2022, the oldest since 2000. The value, year of construction, type of boat and cruising range are added, while the brand has no influence on the premium.
Because production ends in the schedule, these are second-hand boats today. For the hull insurance an agreed value is arranged, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and you state races with ranking status when taking out the policy. You receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages, and third-party liability offers a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

What does the premium for a sailing yacht depend on?
On the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. Engine power plays a role only with motorboats, and the brand never enters into the calculation.
What happens after a model range comes to an end?
Nothing changes for the contract. Cover is provided regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and the agreed value remains the arranged benchmark for the compensation.
