Worth knowing
Unique; cover, cost and conditions
For the Unique brand four motor yacht ranges are recorded, the Unique 833 ac, the 900 c+ac, the 900 S and the 1000, built between 1983 and 1993. With yachts from that period a great deal depends on the agreed value: the agreed amount is set down in the contract and is replaced with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
In the Premium tariff full hull cover dispenses with an age limit, so that even a yacht from 1983 can receive the full hull scope.
No further information about the yard is available to us; for the contract it is dispensable. The premium results from type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. If a policy is already running with another provider, we cancel it free of charge under the switching service.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is there an age limit for full hull cover?
Not in the Premium tariff. There full hull cover is written with no age limit, with an agreed value and compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
What should be borne in mind with a yacht from the eighties?
Report the value including equipment so that the agreed value is correct. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not stand in the way of insurance.

On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
