Worth knowing
Vantare; cover, cost and conditions
The cruising range helps to decide the premium, whether a yacht stays inland or travels along the coast. Two motor yacht ranges from Vantare are on record, the 58 MY and the 64 C, both with model years from 1988 to 1995. You set down your waters when you take out the policy.
Production ended in the middle of the nineties. Cover is provided regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, with an agreed value under full hull cover and indemnity with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. A yacht from that period therefore remains covered in full.
For trips outside Germany you receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
How are the waters taken into account in the policy?
The cruising range is determined when the policy is taken out and goes into the premium, alongside type of boat, value, year of construction and engine output. For trips abroad the certificate is enclosed in ten languages.
Does cover also apply during the night at anchor?
Yes. It runs continuously, regardless of the time of day and of whether the boat is lying still or under way.

Series by Vantare, build years and cover
Vantare 58 MY is a motor yacht from Vantare, built from 1988 to 1995.
Vantare 64 C is a motor yacht from Vantare, built from 1988 to 1995.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
