Three motor yachts are on record: the Caribbean, which ran from 1967 to 1992, the Bermuda 34 from 1973 to 1979 and the Calypso from 1975 to 1981. Anyone taking over one of them today does so on the used market, and for that the legal expenses cover for water sports can be taken along.
The legal expenses cover is offered alongside the boat insurance and applies in disputes following the purchase of a used boat or with a boatyard. It runs alongside the boat insurance, which covers damage to the boat itself, and can be added when you take out the policy without further effort.
For the hull cover we set an agreed value, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), and in the Premium tariff there is no age limit. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, so that even a Caribbean from an early year of construction comes into cover.
