Boats from the 2000s mostly change hands second hand today. Three ranges are recorded at Zenit Yachts S.r.l.: the motor yachts 45 HT up to 2012 and 44 Open up to 2011 as well as the motorboat Zenit 555 from 2004 to 2010. We record the replacement value as an agreed value.
The compensation is based on it, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and in the Premium tariff with no age limit. The place of purchase and previous owners play no part in this, and neither does the year of construction for insurability. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out cover online.
In the event of a dispute after the purchase of a used boat, legal expenses cover for water sports applies, which we also offer. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis, plus limited hull cover and full hull cover. Winter storage, craning and launching are included.

What matters when buying a used boat?
A robust value. It is set as an agreed value in the contract and determines the compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Legal expenses cover for water sports can be added.
Are previous owners or the place of purchase an obstacle?
No. We insure regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range count for the premium, never the brand.

Registration
