Where the two differ, the German text decides:
We bear the customary fee of an expert based abroad. We do so when you wish to assert claims for compensation for damage to a watercraft or a boat trailer that occurred abroad.
2.3.2.3 We bear your costs for a journey to a foreign court (A) if: you have to appear there as the accused or as a party to the proceedings, and you can avoid legal disadvantages only by appearing in person. We bear the costs actually incurred up to the rates applicable to business trips of German lawyers.
2.3.2.4 We arrange for the translation of the documents and for the appointment of an interpreter where this is necessary to pursue your legal interests abroad. In doing so we also bear the costs incurred for the translation or for the interpreter's work.
2.3.2.5 All provisions concerning the lawyer also apply to legally qualified and expert representatives based there.
2.3.2.6 If you have paid these costs in a foreign currency, we reimburse them to you in euros. As the basis for settlement we use the exchange rate of the day on which you advanced the costs.
