In the United Kingdom Kraken has two model ranges, the Kraken 50 and 58 since 2015 and the Kraken 66 and 78 since 2018, both to this day; the lengths are between 15 and 24 m. For yachts of this size the following applies: up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online, and above that we examine the individual case.
The yard advertises a full keel with an attached rudder for blue water cruising. Anyone sailing that far accordingly sets the cruising range in the policy; it is included in the premium alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and sail area. You receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.
In third-party liability the limit of indemnity ranges from 10 to 50 million euros depending on the tariff level. The full hull cover pays on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff without any age limit, and covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
