Nautiner / weekenders; cover, cost and conditions
Nautiner and the Weekender range come from Polish yards and serve the area between a sailing boat and a houseboat, compact cabin boats with a lifting keel or centreboard, designed for the Masurian lakes, inland waters and transport by trailer. Trailerability is the defining feature: these boats are moved by road, and a share of the damage occurs in the process.
Road transport with suitable means of transport is included in our hull insurance, and the trailer is covered at no extra premium if it is stated in the application. The typical damage occurs during loading and during launching: incorrectly placed straps, contact with the slipway, an unsecured mast. Rigging and unrigging are expressly covered, so make use of that, but secure the mast for the journey as specified.
On boats with a lifting keel, the keel mechanism is the component that needs attention. A lifting keel is movable, heavily loaded and, in the event of grounding, the point that gives way first. Damage caused by grounding is covered by full hull cover; wear on the lifting mechanism and on the winch is not. Check the mechanism every year, and the attribution will remain clear in the event of a claim.

Series by Nautiner / Weekender, with value and cover
Nautiner 30 / 40 Cruiser is a houseboat from Nautiner / Weekender (PL/DE), built since 2008, and today changes hands at between €55,000 and €150,000.
Weekender 1000 / 1200 is a houseboat from Nautiner / Weekender (PL/DE), built since 2010, and today changes hands at between €70,000 and €190,000.
Febomobil / liveaboard is a houseboat from Nautiner / Weekender (PL/DE), built since 2005, and today changes hands at between €60,000 and €190,000.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a houseboat the interior counts. Water damage inside is the most common claim, well ahead of collision.
