In the Netherlands, Vri-Jon builds steel displacement boats of between 11 and 16 metres in an upmarket specification; Contessa and Classic are inland and coastal yachts with a high-quality interior and the build quality typical of Dutch yards. On these yachts the interior is the block of value that makes water damage expensive. A burst drinking-water line or a leaking deck fitting above the berth hits veneered solid-wood surfaces. We cover this damage under full hull cover if it occurs suddenly, but not in the case of moisture slowly penetrating over months.
